Speckled Wood
There are variations in colour with the Speckled Wood, going from the warmer brown tones and orange spots to a slightly dingier version that can be darker and its spots are more of a creamy yellow.
This butterfly like to be on the edges of woods, flitting amongst the dappled sunlight of clearings and readily resting on the leaves of shrubs.
